“Four Loko” really cause sickness or not?

Four Loko, an alcoholic energy drink made up of alcohol and caffeine has become a bit confusing factor as there are so many questions arising in minds regarding the Four Loko that does it really cause sickness???
This question is buzzing all around as about 12 students of Central Washington University became ill this month at a party event. The cause of their illness is blamed to be a date-rape drug. The officials informed that it was due to a popular drink, Four Loko that is a mixture of high doses alcohol and caffeine which may also lead to alcohol toxicity.
The price of a 23.5 ounce bottle of Four Loko is about 2.50 dollar and it has 12% alcohol contents in it which is quite similar to drink 5-6 beers.

Rob McKenna, the Attorney General of Washington is demanding for a ban on these beverages. This drink also showed adverse affects in Ramapo college of New Jersey as about 23 students were hospitalized on taken this.
Besides this, the Four Loko Makers Phusion Projects Inc. of Chicago is trying their best to defend its product as they said that their drink product contains less alcohol as compared to rum and cola as well as it also have less alcohol and caffeine than an average Red Bull and vodka. To defend their product, the company also ready to sent FDA self funded research to give proof that their drinks are safe.
